TAGS AND DESCRIPTIONS

Spiders will crawl sites for certain tags.  When Design Matters construct a site, we add these tags as part of the process.  If we have not been involved in the construction, we can advise what tags are missing. 

The most important tags are ‘alt’ tags that describe images to viewers who are visually impaired.  It is now a legal requirement to have ‘alt’ tags; it is also essential in terms of optimising a site. 

Descriptions of the pages and properly thought out unique page titles will also improve a web site search engine ranking.
