SPONSORSHIP
Sponsorship is an effective way to generate revenue from your podcast or, to get your brand involved in someone else’s podcast activity.
A typical sponsorship package would inlude the following:
Sponsor's name in the title of the podcast as the main sponsor
Regular mentions throughout the programme
Sponsor's name and web link published in the show notes
Sponsor's name published on the main Podcast Directories
Sponsor's name published in all online and offline marketing material.
The amount of revenue that can be generated is related to the popularity of the podcast and who is consuming it. Many podcast producers are successfully attracting sponsorship from their existing suppliers however; the initial revenue is likely to be low until consumer statistics are verified.
Over and above the direct revenue generating potential, podcasts will raise the profile of an organisation and generate greater traffic to the website. There are also ways to use the podcast activity to increase search engine rankings for the web site.
